NextIt’s not just about the cake at the Bad Girl Bakery in the little village of Muir Of Ord on the Black Isle, but it helps if you have a sweet tooth. You can tuck into moreish tray bakes, slabs of lime drizzle cake, rhubarb and custard brioche and dinky Victoria sponge cupcakes. It’s also a brunch and lunch hotspot, however, with homemade granola and piles of syrup-drizzled pancakes. If you want to recreate the recipes at home, you bag a copy of Jeni Iannetta’s Bad Girl Bakery cook book. There’s now also a second outlet in Inverness in the revamped Victorian Market’s new food court – where you can also check out their sister company, the Good Girl Greengrocer.
