A small village in the West Highlands, Arisaig is a coastal hotspot overlooking Loch nan Ceall. With a population of around 300 people, it’s the remarkable scenery that attracts visitors. Arisaig, which means ‘the safe place’ in Gaelic, is a small village in the western part of the Highlands. It has a pleasant atmosphere and makes a great base to explore the region. There are a number of amenities available, including a restaurant, café, hotel, and marina. The village was once the home of the famous 18th century Gaelic poet Alasdair Mac Mhaighstir Alasdair.
