Ancarraig Lodges are a collection of 12 family run, secluded cabins tucked away high in the wooded hillside of Loch Ness.
Located directly on the Great Glen Way, and with dogs welcome, Ancarraig is a nature lover’s paradise where deer, pinemartens and birds of prey are regular visitors.
Each lodge sleeps 4 guests across 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin, and offers a private bathroom, kitchen, seating area with log burner, TV, and secure, private balcony with outside dining space.
Ancarraig Lodges are always described as being in a “magical spot,” and it’s easy to see why. Just three miles from the bustling village of Drumnadochit with plenty of amenities, you reach Ancarraig by first gently ascending a quiet lane, rising some 1000ft as you do so.
Views of the surrounding countryside below spread out beneath you, before you reach a secluded plateau under the watchful eye of Meall Fuar-mhonaidh, the highest peak around Loch Ness.
It’s here near its base that Ancarraig is nestled into the woodland, commanding breathtaking views of the famous Loch below and the majestic mountains beyond. Up here in the wilds, serenity is the order of the day, but all in easy reach of the pub when civilization calls!
