Just steps from Culross Palace is a bust statue commemorating Admiral Thomas Cochrane, sitting beneath the Scottish and Chilean flags. Cochrane, a radical politician and officer in the Royal Navy, was active during the Napoleonic Wars and was gifted the nickname ‘le loup des Mers’ (Sea Wolf) by Napoleon.
