The car ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick is very comfortable and takes only 55 minutes. Ardrossan is only half an hour from Glasgow by car and there is a train service from Glasgow Central. Arran is the place to be if you love live music. You will find various places scattered about with live music events. However you may want to time your visit to incorporate one of Arran’s many festivals including Arran Folk Festival.

Arran has festivals galore including Arran Comedy Fest, Arran Folk Festival, Mountain Festival, McLellan Festival and Drama and Music Festivals. You will not be disappointed with the food on offer here. Look out for Arran’s oatcakes, chocolates, ice cream, beers, cheeses, malt whisky and liquor.
