Glencoe by Simon Hird

We arrived in Glencoe on a typical rainy Scottish afternoon, with some hope in the forecast of better weather to come. We awoke to huge snowflakes pattering against our window and a clean white blanket across the glen. On an early morning drive we noticed the inversion and quickly grabbed our boots to race up Beinn a’Chrulaiste where we were treated with spectacular views over the Buachaille. We enjoyed a chit chat with a couple of locals who told us of the rarity of the morning we were so keenly enjoying. One of those right place right time kind of moments.
