The changing seasons means that Eastside cottages are idyllic at any time of year, with snow-capped winter hills giving way to the lush greens of spring and summer, and the purple heather of early Autumn.
Driving through the gates and along the winding road, passing many sheep along the way to get to ‘The Woodshed’ (one of Eastside cottages – which sleeps two), you quickly get the feeling of farm life and appreciate the remote location of your cottage. As the Woodshed, is a mile away from the farm itself you get the feeling of being able to enjoy this place all to yourself. Bliss!
The Woodshed is a luxury self-catering cottage with a modern architectural structure, complete with log fire and all of the very best comforts making your stay feel like a home-away-from-home. A delightful welcome greeted us with delicious scones, butter, jam, milk & tea set out on the table waiting for our arrival, a fantastic way to start our stay.
A clever use of space throughout with living area and kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor with a spacious bedroom set out on a mezzanine floor above. Just follow the staircase as it wraps around the stove, where you are greeted by an extremely comfy king size bed, ready for you to sink into after a day of exploring. Fall asleep in perfect comfort listening to the crackle of the stove and the wind in the trees.
There are plenty of large windows throughout the cottage, giving you plenty of opportunities to appreciate your surroundings.
