Dumfries and Galloway

Dumfries and Galloway is an area of great beauty both inland and around the coastline. It is to the West of lowland Scotland just over the border from England. It incorporates its main town of Dumfries, Stranraar, Moffat, Wigton, Newton Stewart, Kirkcudbright and Portpatrick as well as Gretna and lots of little towns and villages scattered around the area.

There are lots of reasons to visit this area depending on what your interests are. There are forest walks, sandy beaches and parks for visitors to have a stroll around. There are hundreds of miles of cycle routes and off-road cycle trails as well as world-class mountain bike trail centres so an ideal spot for a cycling holiday.
