DRINKING AND NIGHTLIFE IN ARDNAMURCHAN

Ardnamurchan is not famous for its nightlife, but you can always find something interesting to do if you know where to look. The ‘Loch Shiel Festival’ specialises in classical music. It takes place every spring in Acharacle. If you like more traditional fare, try the ‘Feis nan Garbh Chriochan’ (Festival of the Rough Bounds). It features Gaelic drama and traditional Scottish music.

If you come with friends and are staying in a self-catering cottage, buy some whiskies at the distillery, pick up a carry out, and make your own fun. Some of the hotels will have bars that you can relax in, and there are a number of pubs throughout the region.
