24 HOURS ON THE ISLE OF HARRIS

By Andrew Alexander

In 2018, I was asked to make a pit stop on the beautiful Isle of Harris as part of a week long collaborative commission with Hostelworld and Visit Scotland.
The Boat to Harris

Sailing towards the seclusion of the Outer Hebrides, boat rocking side to side, and the gentle touch of the cool sea breeze on my face – it’s hard to remember a time when I felt so alive. As the rocky outcrops of Harris and Scalpay came into view, the sun began to dip below the horizon and a pod of Dolphins welcomed the boat as it approached Tarbet. I was excited to experience life on the edge.

Harris will steal your heart if given half the chance.
